In math, we enjoy solving problems - and we are good at it. We also learned how to make different kinds of graphs.
One way, we learn to read is by memorizing poems and looking for spelling words.
Grade 1A December Newsletter
Dear Parents and Guardians,
November has been a busy month in Grade One! The children have begun “Guided Reading” groups where they are joined with children at similar reading levels. They read books and receive instruction for their reading skill level twice per week. Also, we have been working hard on learning how to add and subtract numbers to twenty. An important part of this process has been solving problems involving addition and subtraction. The kids love this challenge and have come up with some inventive solutions.
Thank you to everyone for attending parent-teacher interviews. It was nice to meet you again and discuss the childrens’ progress so far this year.
